¶ I was named “Overall winner 2014” for my course and presented with a special certificate and award.

¶ A summarised version of my thesis was published in Australian Studies in Journalism (Number 5, Department of Journalism, University of Queensland; pp. 213-239) under the title The Age’s Coverage of the Environment, 1984-1994.

¶ Majored in environmental planning.
During my career I have attended regular one-day training courses on all facets of publishing, including sub-editing, media law, investigative journalism, blogging, writing for the web, online editing, SEO, digital journalism, social media and Google Analytics.
I am PC and Mac literate and proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), various flat planning solutions (VIP, Emagine) and a range of CMS (Censhare, WordPress, Typepad and bespoke systems).
